I’m a portrait and event photographer from Colorado with over ten years of experience, but photography has been a passion of mine since childhood. While most teenagers save up to buy a car, I saved my babysitting money to buy a video camera.
I earned a Bachelor of Journalism in Strategic Communication from Mizzou and have been fascinated with social media since first joining Facebook as one of the first waves of users allowed on the platform in the early 2000’s.
While I’ve freelanced as a photographer and social media manager for many years, in between photography gigs I joined Teach For America and was able to earn a master’s degree in education. I taught middle school English in Saint Louis Public Schools for 11 years. Working with the next generation has always been a passion of mine, and I have a deep love for St. Louis and our amazing city.
If you want to get trapped in a conversation with me, ask me about my cats, photography, murals and public art, Postcrossing, or anything St. Louis.
I’m part of the social media team and will be helping capture the visuals that tell the world who we are at WashU. Let’s make some magic!
