I joined Washington University in May 2022 as associate vice chancellor for university marketing. In this role I am charged with guiding the process of defining and growing the reach of the Washington University brand regionally, nationally and globally, working collaboratively with academic and administrative partners campus wide.
I bring more than 20 years of functional leadership experience in corporate, agency and nonprofit settings. Most recently, I led marketing and communications for St. Louis Children’s Hospital, building the brand strategy, launching new creative to support it, and producing award winning storytelling. Previously, I led integrated marketing at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, U.S. brand communications at Anheuser-Busch InBev, and consumer PR and high school marketing programs for Gatorade via its agency partner FleishmanHillard.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in communications from Illinois State University and my MBA from the University of Memphis. I fly the flag of the Chicago Bears/Cubs/Bulls/Blackhawks, Arsenal FC and St. Louis City SC. Most importantly, I am the proud father of three wonderful kids and the decidedly lesser half to an amazing wife.
