Amy Bantle serves as Vice Chancellor for Marketing & Communications and Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, leading the university’s newly unified marketing and communications team spanning WashU and WashU Medicine. In her role, she oversees the institution’s integrated brand, marketing and communications strategy, helping elevate WashU’s story and impact with audiences locally, regionally and globally. As a strategic advisor to the chancellor and other senior leaders, Amy helps advance the university’s academic, research and clinical missions through communications that strengthen reputation and deepen engagement.
Previously, Amy served as Associate Vice Chancellor for Marketing & Communications at WashU Medicine, where she built a high-performing team that raised the national visibility of the school’s patient care, research and educational initiatives through strategic marketing, communications and media engagement.
A St. Louis native, Amy brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in brand strategy and marketing at Fortune 50 companies, emerging businesses and cultural institutions. Most notably, she spent 14 years at Express Scripts before it was acquired by Cigna. She then continued in senior global marketing roles at Cigna, including serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Evernorth, a Cigna company.
