The beauty of a university campus is that everyone has passions. Everyone has themes, topics and questions — the more unsettled the better — to which they have dedicated their lives. There is nothing idle about academic interest.
As senior news director for arts and humanities, I report on the research, activities and accomplishments of faculty, students and staff in the College of Arts & Sciences and the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts. In so doing, I am able to explore intellectual curiosities of my own. Why this? Why now? Why is it important to you? What does it tell us about the times in which we live?
A graduate of the Sam Fox School (BFA ’93), I spend evenings reading to my daughters and drawing in my sketchbook.
